¿Qué hacemos en terapia ocupacional?
¿Sabías que la forma en que un niño procesa y responde a la información sensorial puede influir en cómo participa, aprende y se desenvuelve en su día a día?
A través del juego y actividades adaptadas, el terapeuta ocupacional acompaña a tu hijo a desarrollar estrategias para regular sus respuestas sensoriales y participar con mayor independencia en sus actividades cotidianas.
Podemos acompañar a tu peque si:
Tiene dificultades para desarrollar habilidades motoras gruesas o finas
Le cuesta realizar actividades cotidianas como vestirse, comer o bañarse
Presenta dificultades para aprender o concentrarse en el colegio
Le cuesta regular sus emociones o responder ante diferentes situaciones
Tiene sensibilidades sensoriales que afectan su participación en actividades
Algunos estímulos le generan miedo, estrés o malestar

Can I join my child's therapy sessions?
Of course! If your child is young, you should join the session to learn how to apply the strategies at home.
What does an Occupational Therapy assessment usually involve?
First, you will have a meeting with the therapist to learn about your child's motor development, autonomy, and sensory integration.
Then, the therapist will observe your child's skills through specific activities and games.
Finally, objectives, expectations, and next steps will be discussed with the therapist.
What is the frequency and duration of each session?
Typically Occupational Therapy sessions are 45 minutes, and your therapist will spend 15 minutes after the session is complete on required documentation, cleaning and discussion with other members of the care team if required.
After the evaluation, your therapist will inform you about the recommended frequency
